A Tour of Palms
in
Corpus Christi, Texas

Our first stop will be at the Xeriscape Gardens located at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History, 1900 North Chaparral.   This free exhibit illustrates many different types of plants and trees that can be grown in this area with the least amount of maintenance and water.  Here you will find a few Sabal species, a Mexican Blue Palm, a Mexican Fan Palm, a Chinese Fan Palm, a few Washingtonias and Canary Island Date Palms.

This picture was taken from Lower Broadway looking up toward Upper Broadway, or as some call it - the Bluff.  Many Sabal and Washingtonia palms line the street making a beautiful view from both Upper and Lower Broadway.
