mix or blend? 用 mix 还是 blend？

  • If you blend things when you are cooking you usually combine them more completely than if you just mix them. Mix can be used to talk about colours, feelings or qualities as well as food and substances. In this meaning blend is mostly used in the context of cooking. It is also used to talk about art, music, fashion, etc. with the meaning of 'combine in an attractive way'. 烹饪时用 blend 表示把各种材料完全掺和到一起，用 mix 只表示将这些东西混合在一起。mix 可指将食物、物质混合在一起，也可指颜色、情感、品质融合在一起。在这一含义中，blend 主要用于烹饪语境。blend 亦可表示艺术、音乐、时尚等元素和谐地融合在一起。
